Our Trainers
Sebastian
Guglielmino
Sebastian Guglielmino joined the Fox Chase Farm team of trainers in
July 2007. Originally from Argentina, Sebastian has been showing and
training horses for more than 20 years, the past seven of which have
been in the United States.
Having been trained by top professionals in South America and the USA,
including Frank Chapot, Sebastian was well prepared for a successful
career competing in the Jumper Division up to the Grand Prix Level. He
has shown in some of the most prestigious shows in the USA (Wellington
and The Hampton Classic), and internationally in Argentina.
Currently, Sebastian is training and coaching students in Hunters, Jumpers
and Equitation. He continues to show his own horses as well as those of his
students.
Sarah Stewart
Sarah Stewart is the ideal example of a true horseman. Her life has
been spent in the equestrian industry learning, teaching, competing and
perfecting her talents.
Having been brought up on a family farm in BC, Canada,
Sarah learned at a very early age how to care for the needs of horses.
Her family took a hands-on approach, and Sarah worked from the ground
up, from mucking stalls and feeding, to grooming and horse care, to riding
whatever was available to ride or needed exercise.
It is from this early work with many young, green horses that Sarah
developed the rare gift of understanding the mind of the horse and the
relationship between horse and rider; two of the most important pieces
of the puzzle that so often are missing in trainers and riders today.
While
Sarah was perfecting her riding and horse training techniques with
her
family’s
show horses, she realized she also had a natural affinity for teaching
and competing. A gifted instructor, Sarah can communicate
with her students to bring out the best in them. She is a hands-on teacher,
and is always ready to demonstrate a lesson if needed.
Her unique skill at finding and bringing out the best in each horse
she works with has been a tremendous advantage to her in the show ring.
She has had numerous successes at all levels of horse shows, and has
a particularly strong gift for showing Hunters.
From the west coast of Canada to Europe, Sarah trained with such notables
as Annie Dotoli at Stephex Stables in Belgium, Olympian Hugh Graham in
Toronto, Olympian Nona Garson in New Jersey, and Claudia Cojacar in British
Columbia. She has also worked and trained at international caliber show
jumping barns in Europe, Canada and the United States.
Most recently, Sarah completed the highest level of trainer certification
that the CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) program offers. She
earned the Level 4 CHA and is now a Certified Instructor for Canada,
the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe.
After leaving her position as Head Trainer for Hidden Ridge Stable in
Canada, Sarah came to the United States where she is successfully freelancing
as a trainer, coach and professional rider.
